Michigan State Police users can track property damage from car crashes in Crash Query. They can identify crashes involving property damage and download UD-10 reports to determine responsible parties for billing. Numetric ingests crash data nightly through a direct database connection with MSP, so recently reported crashes appear in the system.
1. If you know the crash ID, use the Crash ID filter to locate the crash.
2. Click the crash dot to open the crash flyout, then download the UD-10 report to find the responsible party for the damage.
3. If you don’t know the crash ID, you can use other filters in the tool to locate the crash.
4. If you know roughly when and where the crash took place, you can use the date extents and polygon tool to narrow your search area and locate the crash.
5. Additionally, you can use the "Narrative" filter to search keywords in the crash narrative.
