Alternative Design - Adjustment Factor for Each Roadway Type

Find the adjustment factors by each roadway type in Alternative Design.

Written by Lauren Miller

Each roadway type in Alternative Design has its own set of adjustment factors. Use this article to see which adjustment factors appear for each roadway type before you build or review a project.

How to use these tables: Find your roadway type under Segments or Intersections, then find the row that matches the Highway Safety Manual (HSM) version and the options you selected in the app, such as arterial type or intersection type. The Adjustment Factors column lists what appears on the Roadway Details page. The Bike/Ped Details column shows whether the Bike Details and Pedestrian Details pages have adjustment factors; select a ✓ link to see the full list.

Availability: The roadway types you see depend on your organization's configuration. HSM 2 roadway types appear only if your organization has HSM 2 turned on.
