To create a district safety plan using the TxDOT District Safety Plan template in Crash Query, take the steps outlined below:

  1. Login to TxDOT.AASHTOWareSafety.com

  2. From the Crash Query landing page, click on the Home icon, located in the top left corner of the screen.

  3. From your list of Saved Queries, open the District Safety Plan - Template query (Note, it may be located under the Shared with Me heading in the left sidebar).

  4. With the Template open, you will need to save a copy for your own District Safety Plan. Click the Make a Copy button, located in the top right corner of the screen.

  5. Name your new District Safety Plan, and assign it to a new category. In this example, I am calling this new plan the 2024 Amarillo District Safety Plan, and adding it to the Amarillo District category.

  6. Add the TxDOT District (Geo) filter for your district, and save the query once more.

Once completed, you can now conduct your district safety plan review for your district.
