Logic Overview - Collision Diagrams

This article describes how the input of crash logic in Collision Diagrams correctly corresponds to the in-app data fields and diagrams.

This article outlines the logic used to plot crashes in the Collision Diagrams application.

The logic tables are broken into four categories, one for each direction of travel for vehicle 1 (Northbound, Southbound, Eastbound, and Westbound). To navigate to a specific crash, click on the crash description in the table below.

Each crash will contain the Crash Logic detailing the vehicle maneuvers, directions, and crash details, a screenshot from Collision Diagrams showing the data displayed in the application, and a screenshot of the crash displayed in the Collision Diagrams application. Each crash type will be mapped in the intersection diagram with a unique icon, depending on the specific crash details.

NOTE ON CRASH SEVERITY: In the following examples, each crash is classified as a No Injury crash. Changing the Crash Severity will the color of mapped crash icon to match the corresponding KABCO Severity.
